The project to install a turf field at Braefoot Park is underway.
What we're working towards is a field that will not be subject to closure through the regular season due to water-soaked conditions. This means that the 49 days of missed practices and matches last year will no longer be an issue (unless there is snow or freezing conditions). It also means that we would no longer be required to "rest" and rebuild our field through the summer months.
Project will involve the installation of the turf, landscaping of the surrounding area, raising of funds to cover the capital costs not covered by the grant monies and field improvement levies and will address the operational maintenance tasks and scheduling.
