Lakehill Soccer wishes to acknowledge the loss of Sannich councellor and Lakehill Soccer Association club founder Bob Gillespie.  Bob, along with Len Bridgeman, and John Pierre and others founded the the Lakehill Soccer Association in 1956 as were looking for a place where there sons could play ball.

What started out as an organization for the youth of the area, has now grown to include U6-U18 youth development programs and full mens and womens senior programs and has produced teams that have won regional titles and players that have gone on to play in the North American and European leagues and have represented Team Canada in the World Cup. 

Bob, an Arsenal F.C supporter, served the Saanich community in many ways, and the Lakehill Soccer Association is but another contribution and legacy he left behind.
