During the July 3rd meeting of the Lakehill Soccer Executive the board members voted to defer the scheduled July 21st General Meeting to September 8, 2008 at 7pm at Braefoot Community Centre so as to provide more club members with the opportunity to attend. The agenda is as follows:
See the attached documents for a list of Constitution Bylaw changes, and an overview of the changes to the Policy and Procedures Manual.
All members are encouraged to attend.
IT'S OFFICIAL!!!
Lakehill now has full approval from Saanich to start building the turf field at Braefoot. Many thanks to our President, Derek Paul for navigating through the issues and preconditions to get this project kicked off.
To those of you who have already put your names forward to help with the project, you will be contacted shortly. To those of you with some time between summer vacation, our Volunteer Coordinator would love to hear from you.
We're ramping up for this year's Thanksgiving Day weekend Girls Fall Classic. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact the Fall Classic Coordinator.
Now is the time to begin thinking about getting your Referee certification!
Al Moir, our new Referee Coordinator, has posted the following notification for those interested in officiating for Lakehill.
The pay is good, the people are nice and training is provided. What more could you ask for?
An update on Youth team formation for the 2008/09 season has been posted on the Players page.
Now is the perfect time to dust off your volunteer cap! As the season more or less draws to a close, and we think of all the things that have gone well (or not so well) since September (or earlier), some of the people who have spent the last year or three counting, sorting, phoning, and organizing would love to be able to relay all their lessons learned (plus maybe a few war stories) to the people who will take over for them.
Take a minute to contact someone on the Executive Board to find out how you can help.
We're getting ramped-up for our turf at Lakehill. Find out more about the work that has been done so far, and how you can get involved in helping our club meet our target to having the field operational for the start of the 2008/2009 season. (Updated: Jan 4, 2008)
