Equipment Manager & Coordinators Description

E-mail Print PDF

The Equipment Manager oversees all the clubs equipment for the teams. They work with the Coaching Director for what equipment is required by the different teams and replacement of equipment. Typical equipment items are: balls, pinnies, cones, and a medical kit.

The Equipment Coordinators work with the Equipment Manager either in pre-season or in post-season to help with the tasks described below.

In the pre-season with the Coordinators, the Equipment Manager organizes all the equipment, gets new equipment if needed - through the coaching director - and hands out equipment to teams. Handouts would happen on a few weekends before the season starts for U13 - U18, first 2 weekends of season start for U9 - U12, and the weekend the minis start (around last weekend in September). Each team would be required to sign out an itemized list of equipment. This list would then be kept by the Equipment Manager for the post season hand in.

In the post-season with the Coordinators, the Equipment Manager collects all the equipment, cross checks it with the signed pre-season lists, and organizes the equipment for storage. During organizing, if some equipment is damaged or no longer useful, it is to be put aside, and a list prepared of new equipment needed for the next season. This collection usually happens over a few weekends as teams have different end dates.

During the season, teams may ask for additional equipment. The Equipment Manager is responsible for handing the additional equipment out, and adjusting the team list as needed.

Each handout weekend or collection weekend can typically be just in a few hour window on a Saturday or Sunday. - it need not be the whole day. Dates and times should be posted well in advance on the website, and all the division managers informed, so they can notify the teams.
